Alex is a full-time professional musician. He has experience playing solo piano on cruise ships, held residencies at pubs, restaurants and hotels and played at numerous weddings and private/corporate events.

Tunes by Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk feature heavily in his songlist along with all the original showtune material by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein etc..
His playing is inspired primarily by the original jazz pianists - Bud Powell, Thelonius Monk, Art Tatum, Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock. Classical pianist Marion Blech taught Alex briefly during his teenage years.
