Fixing a Piano with a Pound Coin and Blue Tack
My weekly residency at the Imperial Hotel became interesting when the damper on middle C of the piano was stuck and the note was sustaining all the time, making it impossible to play! I had to stop playing and go and buy some blue tack which I used to stick a pound coin on the offending piece of mechanism, weighing it down - and it worked !
The piano has now been tuned and nicely fixed up - sounds lovely again.
